The painting takes place outdoors in a rundown town; this means that the Spartan lifespan conditions werent very luxurious. They groomed their fryren to not cargon roughly their hygiene and want the simple essentials like clothes and a bed, kind of they made them wear lowwear or go on the whole naked and used river reeds as beds. In the painting in that location are children fighting, displaying that Spartans did little talking and mostly used their barbarian strength.
